Source and research context

The study evaluates the combined application of brainwave entrainment technology (BrainTap) and Somavedic environmental harmonization on sleep, mood, and personal wellbeing.

The collaborative pilot was conducted in 2023 by researchers from Somavedic Technologies and BrainTap Technologies alongside academic research contributors.

Participants and study design

Twenty healthy adult volunteers took part in the six-week program. Participants maintained their typical daily routines while incorporating two daily BrainTap sessions and continuous Somavedic presence in their living and sleeping environments.

Standardized self-report assessments were administered before beginning the intervention and following the six-week period.

Measures and analysis

  • Global sleep quality and component scores evaluated via the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI).
  • Emotional state and mood balance measured using the Profile of Mood States (POMS).
  • Depression, anxiety, and stress levels assessed with the standardized DASS-21 scale.

Results

  • Statistically significant reductions in perceived stress and depressive symptom scores on the DASS-21 scale.
  • Significant improvements in overall mood elevation measured by the POMS inventory.
  • Global PSQI sleep scores improved significantly, with positive gains in sleep latency, sleep duration, and daytime functioning.

Discussion

The authors highlight consistent positive shifts across mental wellbeing and restfulness indicators throughout the intervention.

The findings suggest that pairing neuro-relaxation technology with environmental harmonization creates a supportive routine for daily recovery and stress relief.

Methodological context

The pilot evaluation observed the combined effect of both modalities in daily practice. The findings demonstrate favorable trends across sleep and wellbeing metrics, serving as a foundation for continued research.
